Spanish Trade Missions 2011

As a representative of EXTENDA – Trade Promotion Agency of Andalusia, Serdon organized a group trade mission for 7 Spanish companies from the food and beverage sector.

Representatives of two major wineries producers, Bodegas Malaga Virgen ( and Bodegas Williams and Humbert ( met with representatives from several supermarkets, as well as with a well known wine bar in Sofia. From the meetings, they managed to get a holistic picture of the Bulgarian wine markert, and more precisely how the traditional Spanish wines „malaga“ and „sherry“ fit in it.

The growing demand for bio and organic foods on the Bulgarian market in recent years, was beneficial for Campobetica (producer of bio foods and bio cosmetics – and Visana (producer of wholegrain sugar-free cookies – Both represenatives were welcomed by several Bulgarian companies who operate in this sector to discuss the products and offers.

The olive oil producers this year were represented by Grupo Colvi ( – Aceites Guadalentín -; - Productos Majuelo S.L.; Jamon Eíriz - and Torres y Ribelles Both companies met with several Bulgarian companies that have specialized in importing various Spanish food products.

Luxeapers S.L. -, a producer of traditional Spanish pickled vegetables, also met with supermarket representatives and a few companies importing Spanish food products. The meetings presented a good outlook of the Bulgarian market for such type of products.

At the end of March, a trade mission presenting the Spanish language studying opportunities will take place in Andalusia. It is aimed at language teaching institutions, that have the practice of sending students abroad to study the respective language. Also at the end of March, Serdon will organize an individual trade mission for a major Spanish producer of PVC water and sewage piping – FERRO SYSTEMS S.L.
