From April 25-29, 2004, the Agency for International Business and Cooperation (EVD), a division of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, initiated a trade mission to Romania and Bulgaria with the aim of information gathering and networking. BC Serdon was asked by its Romanian partners from Business Development Group (BDG) to organize business matchmaking meetings for each of the participating Dutch companies and to provide logistical support in Bulgaria. In cooperation with BDG, BC Serdon successfully provided targeted business matchmaking for 25 Dutch companies taking part in the Dutch Trade Mission to Bulgaria (April 25-29, 2004). Matchmaking involved researching, short-listing and selecting Bulgarian companies of potential interest to the visiting Dutch company representatives. The BC Serdon team organized meetings between all interested parties. BC Serdon also provided logistical support to EVD and the Royal Netherlands Embassy before, during and after various events related to the trade mission. As a result, the Royal Netherlands Embassy engaged BC Serdon to organize and facilitate several Dutch trade missions during the period 2005 – 2007. The participating Dutch businesses represented a wide variety of sectors including agriculture and meat processing, packaging equipment, wholesale of food and nonfood articles, chemical and petrol, sanitary ware, consulting and logistics.
